Welcome to Pitani

PITANI, is the Surinamese word for Child / Children.

PITANI believe parents and children must have a good choice when they  buy apparel.
We are convinced that it’s for children not only important to know who they are, but it’s also very important to develop a realistic
self-image.

When children wears clothing with prints, pictures or texts, it's incredibly important , they can reflect and identify themselves with the clothes they wear.
Clothes have a great influence on carrying out the identity, in several manners this identity is showing again in the clothing.
That’s why we have come on the idea for our own label, PITANI.
Our Cultural background, Creativity and Self-confident, are our strength at developing, PITANI.

We design all PITANI clothes and illustrations ourselves. Clothing of PITANI is by its irradiation a gift.

PITANI Clothing has no wrapped designs it has been kept simple because the details carry the design.
We want to add with PITANI, another look on the children's clothes market.

Cheryl and Nancy Nortan, 2 sisters born in Amsterdam, had born out of 2 dearest Surinamese parents.
Cheryl, has worked for years as first black women camerawoman in The Netherlands and she has later continued her career in the graphic design in the media.
Unfortunately Cheryl passed away on 22 January 2008.
As sister I'm so thankful for all the strength,  and love she gave me.
Cheryl designed all the images for PITANI and also webshop.

I am, working as an independent entrepreneur as maternity nurse  for many years.  I have many experience with new born babies 
( and their "new born" parents)  and there needs  .

PITANI have chosen for high quality products for children, nice to see, nice to wear with PROUD.
